DISTRIBUTION OF UNIFORMS

In a system where access to basic necessities remains a challenge for many communities of the Upper East Region of Ghana, initiatives such as the Haven of Love Foundation, aimed at uplifting the less privileged become beacons of hope. Our passion to change lives took us to Binduri and Garu districts, where we expanded our change initiative to Belempiisi, Vambara, and Bugwia communities.

The foundation scouted the Belempiisi, Vambara and Bugwia communities which are very deprived communities with residents predominantly being peasant farmers. The lack of basic amenities, including proper schooling facilities, paints a stark picture of the challenges faced by the residents, particularly the children. In these villages, attending school often means sitting or even lying on bare floors, with some children walking barefoot with no school uniforms.

On the 18th of October, 2023, we initiated a donation drive, providing a total of 240 sewed uniforms to the schools in these communities. Belempiisi primary school, located in the Binduri District, received 24 uniforms, while Vambara and Bugwia primary schools in the Garu district were provided with 74 and 142 uniforms respectively. Our team members personally dressed the pupils, replacing their mufti attire with new school uniforms. Before the distribution, the children were gathered, and our CEO, along with other team leads, delivered an inspirational talk reminding the children that they are treasures from God and agents of solutions in their community, emphasising the importance of education in shaping their future.

The school uniform donation initiative is a testament to our commitment to social welfare and community development. We believe that by investing in the education of these children, we are not just changing individual lives but also contributing to the transformation of entire communities. Together, we can continue to spread hope and make a lasting impact on the lives of the less privileged.
