Haven of Love Children’s Foundation is a collective of passionate young individuals from diverse career backgrounds united by our commitment to serving humanity and fostering community welfare.

Our mission is to support the underprivileged, vulnerable, and marginalized members of society, with a focus on promoting economic empowerment, mental and technological advancement, unity and peace.

Our efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16, and 17, aiming to create positive change and a more equitable world for all. The love of Christ is what drives our passion .

Our Foundation

OUR MISSION

To improve the quality of life of vulnerable and marginalized children in rural communities between the ages of 0-18, situated in Ghana which in turn develops the socio-economic wellbeing of the country.

Understanding the importance of a strong family environment in raising children, we also strive to provide better health-care opportunities and counselling for parents and guardians in these rural areas to enable them better take care of their children

About the Founder

The journey of Haven of Love Children’s Foundation began when Samuel Nana Bekai Djirackor, a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, was posted for his National Service to teach at Teshie Primary School, a village in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region of Ghana.

While teaching, Samuel became acutely aware of the poverty in the area and the stark inequality between the northern and southern parts of Ghana.

Burdened by the challenges he witnessed—students dropping out of school due to pregnancy and poverty, and an alarming doctor-to-patient ratio of 2:30,000—Samuel, a preacher of patriotism and selflessness, made a life-changing decision. He chose to abandon any further pursuit of higher education or the search for greener pastures. Instead, he decided to stay in the village and leverage his relationships to build a foundation where patriotic youths from various career disciplines could come together to make a positive change in society. Thus, Haven of Love Children’s Foundation was born.

Many young people from the village and surrounding areas were drawn to Samuel’s leadership. Inspired by his message of patriotism, they volunteered their time, skills, and resources to advance the Foundation’s mission.

Samuel’s indomitable spirit and charisma also inspired professionals from southern Ghana to volunteer their skills and expertise to help poor families in the northern part of the country.
He employs a blend of servant leadership, transformational leadership, and democratic leadership to guide and influence those who follow him.

Through Samuel’s influence, doctors, surgeons, lecturers, lawyers, media personalities, and engineers have dedicated their time and services to benefit the poor communities in Northern Ghana, all at no cost.
Samuel believes that what money can buy, relationships can also achieve. His impact has reached more than 100,000 individuals.

Over the course of six years, Samuel has relied on his network of friends and family to fund the Foundation’s projects. His efforts were recognized with the JoyNews Impact Makers Award for Health and Social Welfare.

Ghana, Africa, and the world need more great souls like Samuel Nana Bekai Djirackor.

VISION

To become a leading foundation that helps deprived children to understand how much they are loved by God and to bring hope to the less privilege in Ghana and beyond.

MOTIVATION

Upon arriving in the community, I was struck by the immense potential within the children, youth, and parents who often did not recognize their own worth and capabilities. Our motivation is to elevate their self-esteem and aspirations. We believe that when children and youth see themselves as valuable and capable, they can achieve limitless heights. Our goal is to foster this mindset and empower them to realize their full potential. By providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities, we aim to create a supportive environment for children, youth, and parents where they can thrive, build brighter futures, and inspire confidence, patriotism, and resilience in every child , youth and Parent.

Helping children is very important; early childhood development is attributed to self confidence. Thanks to Haven of Love Children Foundation, a non denominational christian organization committed to supporting, grooming and nurturing children in the love of God.

I’m super grateful for the growth the foundation has experienced in the last 6years as what started as kids club meeting has grown into a foundation.

Thanks to Samuel Nana Bekai Djirackor, the CEO; a man who chases his dreams like a panter who is running with the vision of Haven of Love to becoming a leading foundation in Ghana and beyond.

Earlier in the year, the 50% mark on the 40,000 cedis target for the year 2021 was hit. Thank to all who was a part of that. I can’t but mention the mothers who have graduated from artisanship skill training to be their own bosses. The numerous outreaches just like the tooth extraction and screening that was conducted earlier in the year.

How can I forget the one featured on major news online platform and also on national tv to mark world oral day. Children are our future and next generation that will take our values and principles to the next level.

This is a subject I strongly believe in and this is why I support Haven of Love Children Foundation.

Gbantongo Electoral Areas has benefited from free dental screening, an outreach program that was successfully organized by Haven of Love Children Foundation in which various degrees of dental problems were assessed, treated and advised accordingly by experts.

In my community, haven of love children foundation has been able to enroll teenage boys and girls who drop out of school into various skill training such as sewing among others. It has saved some of the teenagers from immoral and wayward lifestyle.

2019. I got the opportunity to collaborate with Haven of Love Children’s Foundation during their campaign to raise funds and fit a prosthesis on Mavis, a below knee amputee.

I got to meet and work with the wonderful team they have.

Fast forward ,2021, Mavis is using her prosthesis for every single activity of daily living that she wants to do.
